Another Fine Hunt.....
Off today so I headed out somewhat early, went back to the site I was working on yesterday, quite muddy after all the rain, but it beats dried concrete anyday
Anyhow I managed a LC today 1831..officially my oldest coin to date
Also scored an older IH that came in as a 1863..
Two other IH's surfaced also,an 1889 and a 1897
One buffalo dated 1918 no mint mark
And two Wheat's
Scored some nice relics also, the item pictured far right middle I believe was a site from a gun?
Have fun out there folks...

Awesome LC Soup! You sure have some mint hunting ground down there! I'll have to bring you some more brew sometime and hit those old fields with you if you don't mind. Maybe once I get my new tent poles I will rent another car and roadtrip it.
How deep was that LC?

Jason you know your are welcome anytime, the crops will be planted soon,so will probably have to shoot for a fall hunt...unless you hurry down in the next few weeks....The LC was about 6-7" down and rang in loud and clear as a high tone...the ace would have found it easy....

Re: Another Fine Hunt.....
I heard it was to stich the coins to the inside of clothes so it wouldn't be lost... obviously it didn't work so well since soupie finds so many coins with holes.
