 Let's go diggin!!!
Dug low tones at the Tourist camp
Spent a couple of hours Sunday at the Tourist camp digging the low tones, this
helped me slow down plus clean up the huntable areas. Many 22 casings were
brought back to the sunlight, after this many I pasted on some of those signals for
now. First goodie into the pouch was the CJ toy lamb followed by the 05,11 V-Nics.,40d Jeff..
Worked 50'x50' area to add a 41p Merc., 2 Wheaties ( 26,31d ). Second 31d in 2 days,
wish a 31s wheatie would pop. These older style beer cans with just the Aluminum lid are
everywhere, its the tabs that are scarce. HH All DFW

Re: Dug low tones at the Tourist camp
The campground I use to hunt for a few year, I did the same thing to get some of the trash out. It netted me quite a few buffalo
nickels and 1 V nickel.
Nice finds...... Hope you'll see a 31S soon.....
GOTTA LOVE THIS HOBBY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Happy Hunting from Des Plaines IL ( D P Bob )

Those old-style beer caps are very good indications you are hunting the right area, the right depth, and the right conditions for finding those V nickels. Hope some of 'em come out in good shape. Congrats on the Merc, and hope the '31s is not far away - maybe under one of those beer caps?

Great group of coins and CJ toy. Keep hitting that area. I bet there are some more nickels there including some nice condition buffalos there and other coins waiting to be rescued from the net of pull tabs.
