Found a 1886 Indian & a what is it?

I found this 1886 Indian. Red book said there are two varieties. What is the difference and what variety do I have?
I have no clue what this other piece is. It looks decorative and mechanical. Any clues?

Var 1 the feather points to the "I C " minted from 1859 thru mid 1886
Var 2 the feather points to the " C A " minted from mid 1886 thru 1909

Great finds, the 1st thing that popped into my noggin when I seen the pix was a decorative top to a lamp shade but who knows.
