    Noobie question

Seeing as how I am still learning I was wondering how everyone here detects near bleachers? I tried and was only picking up the bleachers so I gave up fairly quickly.

    Re: Noobie question

welcome cpl chaos, i can't get too close to them either but i found my first gold ring last year 2 feet away from the bleachers. there has been some speculation here that all the good stuff left is south of I-80 what do you think?

    Re: Noobie question

I use my DetectorPro Uniprobe to hunt around bleachers and the metal poles in tot lots.... It is great as it gets 6" in depth and can be used under the bleachers.... Have found several nice gold finds this way.....

    Re: Noobie question

i usually just try to get as close as i can with the detector. probably not the best way, but one of the easiest i'm sure i've missed things by doing that though

Thanks for the input and Marinedad I hope your right, cause if thats the case I should be swimming in the finds as soon as I can start swingin my detector.

If you have a sniper coil you might want to give that a try with the sens lowered. Good luck.

I don't know what make of detector you are hunting with but if a small coil like a 5.5" or 6" coil is available for it get one, you will be surprised how much closer you can hunt to bleachers and metal posts compaired to the larger coils most machines come stock with. I sure love my 5.5" for that type of hunting, also in really trashy areas. Good luck. Rick
