July 3rd hunt... first silver pocket spill!

So, I was cruising on my bike to my usual spot and decided to stop by some huge old trees that I pass by every time. These trees are in the dead middle of the park and I assumed they had been hunted a hundred times or more but I thought what the hell... I locked my bike to a tree and set off. First target was a lead army figure that seemed old... then a wheatie... hmmm maybe this site has been spared! A couple dollars in clad later I get a nice 6" wheatie signal. Open the hole and sure enough a wheatie. Pushing the dirt back with the probe and I get another target. I brush some dirt away and see a silver reeded edge!!! Quarter came next. Probe again and find a merc! Probe some more and find another merc! Probe some more and find a scratched wheatie! 3 silvers and 2 wheaties in one hole! Later found the '52 rosie but it sounded like a pile of rusty nails... I almost didn't dig it. I'm glad I did!

Does anyone know about old army figures? How old do you think my figure is?

Thanks for looking and happy 4th!

    Sweet! Great digs J!

That's a real rough cast soldier. Might be from one of the home made lead toy kits they used to sell. Kid would get the basic lead pot, some molds and could get more, along with lots of lead, then the kid could decide which ones to make and how many.

Nice group of silver. Way to keep pulling them out of that spot.
