Iowa trip yields a first for me.

Spent some time at some virgin ground out in Iowa.
Researched the site and it turns out that there was once a church that stood on the property, at least in 1904 there was.
I was hoping to spend a few hours searching but rain put a damper on my time. I managed to get in about an hour and half in
before I had to help my son move the rest of his stuff out and clean the apartment.
Last month I got several good finds from this spot.
This time I dug my First Civil War Era Bullet.
Dug a 1906 Barber Dime and 3 wheat pennies.
Got a little Gold too. The little tiny gold locket was about 6 inches deep. I know it's gold cause it came out so clean.
So for this trip, which will probably be my last trip every to Iowa, I got Lead, Silver and Gold.
The button, Any clues on it

Great stuff Bob! Try some naval Jelly rust dissolver. Works great on buttons and won't harm the gilt that's left either.
