9/23 & 24 finds
Hi everyone!! Been hitting it hard these last two days (despite getting rained on this morning). Yesterday was by far the better of the two days.
Two day totals: '54d Washington; '62d Roosie (silver coins no. 60 and 61); 11 wheats ('10, '17, '19, '26, '27, '28, '44(x2), '44d, '46d, '56d); 3 more fired bullets (that brings my bullet collection up to like 20 or 30 now ). Gee, can ya tell I MD in DA 'HOOD Also dug what I believe to be an anchor/surface/cover plate for a doorknob or hand rail. It's pretty ornate and has a nice green patina on it. Methinks it's old timey construction/remodeling debris, as it looks old and was found VERY deep (around 11"). Clad totaled ~$14 for the two days (pizza money!! YAY!! ).
Thoughts and observations: The Roosie was plastered to the front of the Washington, making for a nice multi silver surprise when I pulled 'em out of the hole. They weren't deep either; found 'em at about 3". The '54d is the first '50s Washington I've dug so far (I have a few '30s, some '40s, and a few '60s, but prior to Friday, I had never dug one from the '50s). It's been a while since I dug a merc....seems like all my silvers lately have been Roosies and Washingtons....I need a merc....or a Barber.... .
Pics below. Enjoy!!

Awesome - just remember that there was a time where silver was a "dime a dozen" for me (now its for you) so I let you dig your 1st MD silver at my expence, so its on you to pass that experience onto a noob just like it was passed on me and I passed on you.
When I 1st started MD as a hobby (I MD in the USMC for bombs and "IED'S") I was fortunate to have in no particular order: Lowbatts, Twisted, Kimmiesdad, Neal, Bilt46, Goio, Dave, Bomber, Merph, and a slew of other guys teach me all over again to hunt coins. So its now on you to teach a noob hoe to hunt for those elusive chi town coins!
And if you get greedy just think how I felt when I got you your 1st silver coin (at the BS camp) I wanted it but I was teaching you how to MD so its on you to teach someone els now especially when you know you giving up a silver coin. LOL do us proud noob :P

Nice going Paul!
Bullets? You got a few. Got two .30-06 shells yesterday outside a school's front door, but they were very old. Probably from 4th grade rifle practice some years ago. (You gotta know that about South Elgin)
Good hunt!
