Halsted , French 20 cent is from same area like last year heavly biten one , this one i nick little ( to bad ) ,Scot that french is not BIG like Youurs , but I enyoy . Some Quality time with my student and PTD ( Hi score HI to) , gold pcs. is only 2 grams .

First of all, excellent hunting! Wish I had your tenacity.

I don't see what you see, however. On the flattened embossed metal panel? I read FRIEDLEY VOSH (NOSH?) CO.

You state these were found in the Yorkville Plano area, but fail to say what state. If in Illinois, the flattened metal piece could well be a fire marker, which would alert fire fighters whether they were fighting a fire within their jurisdiction. But if you are outside of Illinois all bets are off.

Really enjoyed the small 1867 silver French piece. I bet it was in circulation for a long time.
