Possible silver? Awesome weather either way

Figured I would spend some time outdoors today enjoying the weather. swung around my yard again (where some other oldies have been found) and this popped out. it came out looking just as it does in the pics. it makes the sweet silver ting when i drop it from an inch or so above a counter... either way pretty cool little find at about 5" down rings up close to a dime signal if I remember right 11-46ish. any ideas on who would have worn this some infantry maybe? a bullet with wings...

hope everyone was able to get out there and swing today!

my quick googling turns up its wwii aerial gunner... hmm too damn cool. i will take these finds over coins any day. guess i need to re-scan the hole for the wings...

looks like mine is missing the wings which explains its rough edges on the sides..
