Thanks guys! Yes I love night hunting. Less people around, the air cools down a little. Its more peaceful and relaxing. Makes you feel like special forces with night vision. You just need to be extra careful of who is around you as far as muggers go around here. I keep a half pint of whiskey in my bag in case I need to make friends with a local bum and I only night hunt with a buddy. Two lesches are better than one when it comes to defending yourself!

The Indians are definitely exciting to find but when looking for them, you end up digging too many crusty zincolns. I'm still pumped from this hunt and that this merc grades AU-50 or so. I love the color of it too. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Ha - no actual night vision goggles... I just pretend I do.

red headlight works best. draws less bugs and metals in the hole shine so much better with a red light.. try it ya might like it!

How about a red laser pointer? Maybe that would scare away the riff-raff, that or get you shot?
