    More park goodies

Got out for a bit with Mayo today. I took one nice 1903 IH and three wheaties, two of them the much-found 1919 type.

Mayo got the biggest clad coin we've ever had in circulation in the U.S. that I know of!

Guess what it is and you can win the secret location of the other goodies we found, hidden under camo tarp and leaves down in a low spot in the woods!

Here's a shot of some of those goodies as we pulled them out from under their spot!

    Yep, Mayo got an Ike.

Called the cops on these bags, fairly new duffels with a new tent, sleeping bags, etc. in a local park.

Cop on the line just said, yeah, they know all about it, it's a regular homesite for the guys who come in on the bus for the free food and goodies from the local charities. He also said that it was nice of them to hide the stuff and cover their spot.

As me and Mayo made our way up out of that area four guys walked into that area sharing a bottle of beer and one of them went in and redressed the site, hiding the goods I had left uncovered. then they left, off to find more beer!

    Well happy holidays to them!

Thanks Mac, but I'm pretty sure a lot of us would love to be within a stone's throw of some of the war sites and camps near your town as much or more than you'd like to be here!
