Yesterday anyhow. Finally got an old license plate that was not fragmented into pieces. Also got a nicely hand-stamped ring marked sterling that's a bit on the heavy and large side. Got a few wheaties also, '10, '26, '27, and '30 near the ring and the plate. Rather tight group of finds too. Got half an old bait casting reel and one old skate left hanging on a cut vine over the spot in case any of you guys get there....

Got challenged by a large buck with three other white tails in tow. He started stomping and advanced toward me within about 15 feet, stomping menacingly all the way. Then I started banging a couple sticks together, just because I'm like that. I guess he figured he hadn't gotten his sprouts yet so he turned and stomped off. I clucked loudly and called him a chicken. He didn't respond.... would you?

I like the plate... thats pretty cool. I can picture you trying to wrestle the deer and then riding it out of the woods and back to your van with your license strapped to its antlers.
