    Now what?

Ok, I have cleaned all my equipment, categorized and cleaned all my finds and watched all of the detecting videos on Youtube. Now what do I do? I guess I will just look out the window until spring.

Now..... start researching old plat maps, go to the library and view their "old" postcards to see if anything is familiar to you. Libraries should also have the old plat maps of your area. I'll take a hike through some potential spots and imagine the stuff that's in the ground.

Get the old Sanborn maps and layout a plot of the old Electric Park grounds and overlay that with today's topography and available landspace there. There ought to be one or two real hotspots left on those old grounds. Might be on one of the adjoining residences or in the remaining park grounds.

And also check for upcoming inprovements on the city's capital improvement project's pages. Check for upcoming improvements on the city's park sites as well. There's some awesome good ground around you. It pays to be prepared by knowing what's going to happen and when.

Electric park is all private property now. I have the number of the owner but haven't called yet.... maybe an idea for 2012.
