Got out for a few hours Wednesday night to the pounded park where I found some silver and Indians a few weeks ago. Decided to open up the discrimination and see if I could find some nickels. Place is super trashy but I worked slow and tried to find some deeper low tones. Actually was some old nickels hiding there! 1907 and 1910 V Nickel, 1920 Buffalo and a 1947 Jefferson. Also got a 1943D Merc, an unusually shaped Goetz phone token and 5 wheaties.

Went out last night to a different section of the same park that has produced oldies but all the nickels I found there were modern. Did manage a pair of 1901 and 1908 Indians plus 5 wheaties.
