Great saves Rich! Those pieces are sweet!

Just for grins, you might want to take your detector and swing some of those fields.
You might find some float copper nuggets and/or some Copper Culture artifacts since
you're so close to the glaciated terminal moraine areas of the state.

Nice stuff!

Nice points , the larger one looks like a spear point...Its not hard to get hooked on hunting these, especially if you have a spot that produces..

I have found some float copper in a field behind my house, 5 pieces so far, found them 2years ago.

I think it's a Hemphill, 5,000-7,000 BP or a Turin, 7,500-8,500 BP

Nice points I am always looking for them when out in fields detecting. I wanted to chime in on Watercolors comment on float copper. I live in and around the a lot of the glacier end moraine area of the state. Last summer I was detecting a small kame that was never plowed. Anyway I found a 35 lb. nugget of pure float copper. Almost consists of no rock pure copper, at the top of the hill about 8" down. When I found it I knew it was copper but didn't know anything about it, how it got there or where it came from. Needs less to say I look closely at any "hot rock" I find from now on. And I have found a few small half rock/ copper pieces in the last year were as before I would of thought were hot rocks.
