I was just curious to know if anyone has ever detected in Fox Park in LaPorte. I know it dates into the 1800's, and there used to be a lot of activity there back then (pavilion, bandstand,etc.). I've seen some old pictures of a large gathering of people watching some event by the bandstand area, which is where the existing bandstand still is.

Has anyone ever found any old coins and/or relics there?

Thanks,
MM

I'm from LaPorte and go back once or twice a year, yet I have never had time to hit Fox Park on previous trips. :(
I'm heading back tomorrow with my wife for about 5 days, and I was curious to see if others have had any luck there. ???
The park is full of huge old oak and maple trees, some of which I'm sure have been there over 100 years.
I already have an 1850's country home to detect this trip, but may have time for another spot this trip.
Just curious.
Thanks,
MM

You might wait or go back after we had some rain, it's so dry that your going to lose depth. HH
