Anyone for a group hunt across the border? Finds update
Sunday August 1st Niles, MI there is a Park behind Wonderland Cinemas. The address for the Theater is 402 Front St. Niles, MI.
Looks like Greg, Tabfinder, and myself are up for something different, so I'm throwing out the invite to any who want to meet up there. Probably get there around 8am.
Here's a link of the map:

Well, the first park behind the movie theater was a total nightmare. Must have been fill that was brought in, as it had thousands of targets that were 99.9% junk. Talk about a headache.
There was a couple walking by and I asked about any nearby parks. They pointed us in the direction to where the Apple Blossom Festival is held, which is next to the airport and across from the high school. Everybody found some coinage there, but I think we should hit that after the festival is over. This spot gets full sun, so it was a hot one there and the ground was getting hard.
On our way to that spot, we passed a small neighborhood park, so we decided to go there for awhile, as it has some shade trees and a small soccer field.
Rye got the best target out of the 4 of us. He dug a Mini Cooper and I mean it's a real mini Everyone else pulled some clad, so it wasn't all a bad morning.
As for my best find? I found an antique bottle cap. It was so old that when I retrieved it from the hole it disintegrated in my hand.
Oh well, life goes on.
So now you're in the know of the Sunday Niles hunt fest.

As close as I was to the river, the thought never even crossed my mind to toss the detector in to the murky depths of the Old St. Joe
You're right, I don't read the forums, I just look at the pictures, just like the books I own
Oh, and one other thing! Don't be such a TURD

Re: Anyone for a group hunt across the border? Finds update
Pic from weekend hunts:
The clad(lot more outside pic frame) except the 41 nickel, the jewelry thing and the mini cooper were from niles hunt:

Other stuff from quick sunset park hunt elsewhere.
No new-toy tantrums or no-treasure-finding tantrums from DJH. Was good to play in the dirt for a change, just too dang hot!
Left the beaches alone this past weekend, ready to water hunt again, LMK.....

Man!!!
You was holding out on the '57 Chevy find?
I didn't know you were starting a car lot over there on that side of the field
Yeah, it was a hot one that day for sure.
