    Hello Hoosiers!

I just wanted to say hey. I grew up in Merrilville and Lowell Indiana, moved to Florida in 1985 and because construction down here is in a major slump, i'm moving to Huntingburg Ind.(I have family there)
I was wondering if there was anyone on this sight that might live close to my destination? Would like to find a detecting buddy.
Well, thanks for reading my post and happy hunting!

Oh I'll bet that construction is booming in Huntingberg, Indiana. Are they remodeling the only gas stations bathroom? You should have been hitting those Florida beaches for Spanish gold my friend.

Right now i'm working for Huntingburg Machine Works and i'm lucky if I get to work more than one day a week. I'm ready to start looking for another job. That or go back to Florida. It's pretty bad when you start thinking about selling the detector, just to get by.

Just got a new casino in new buffalo mich and the other casino is building a huge hotel. Alot going on.

No offense, but i lived in FLA and couldnt make squat there for pay and do much better here in NW Indiana

    Come on back to Merrillville

    True Metal,
You must have been reading my mind. You are right about Florida and i've been considering doing just what you've suggested. I still have friends and family up that way. If I do, i'll try to get in touch. Maybe we can do some detecting some time?

If ya get back up this way get ahold of me, i'll be around

Just moved back here from NY last year myself where i was getting killed by taxes and the high cost of living there.

Northwest Indiana isnt the greatest place, but it's blue collar friendly and home.

    Take er easy.
