Look like it to me, the hole has a lions head meaning it's Royalty and another head next to it.

i think the first marker shows on top the church treasure sign then a left side sign then a gold burried sign and left from it a turtle in black. the second marker shows treasure below.

What I noticed most was the three sevens at the entry of the cave. It's a site that may be empty. The sevens is the final destination in my book. I may be wrong. But there is always another stash place around there. Nice find

Salt River in the Superstitions is such a beautiful area .
I miss it at times .

Eagles soar the currents
the colors , the place is just so calming .

Help ya out on that Mirror gig

as soon as an Expert as well as another Troll , leaves this page .

The mirror's purpose is for reflecting sun light as the chipping is done .
to mimic the Sun rays by redirecting them during a time of day when it is not shining on the surface
to be chipped .

Testing as well , to find whether the chipping is imperceptible without direct sun rays on it .
if the chipping can be seen when the mirror is deflected , they try another surface to the one side or other until
a spot is found that the chipping is not perceptible without Sun Rays directly on it .

There's more to the formula then this .
such as angle of tool tip when chipping , depth of chip out as well .

Pretty cool technique

have you tried to duplicate it ?

No I've try to duplicating it. No need really. I think it's an art form that not to many know. As well as the tree muniplation. Even the surrounding landscape to a trained eye gives us something to see.. I think these men of the era had God's help. Just the shear amount of stones that were worked is mind blowing.
