Need Help in Valuing this necklace/Craddagh

I could really use some help in trying to value this necklace.
I found it metal detecting an old mid 1800's house in Central Virginia.

I know that the metal is silver and the heart is black onyx, anyone out there know what the other stones may be and what the value is?

Should I get a separate insurance binder on this piece or let it ride?

Thanks for all of your help!

Wow that is cool looking, I just dug up a ring with the same funny gems on it and have no idea what they are! Does your pendant have any hallmarks on it?

The stones are marcasites. It doesn't look that old but I could be wrong. I don't know what the value would be.

Goldirocks is correct as to the marcasite. There have been several listed on ebay recently. Those with a buy it now price from 15.99 and up didn't sell. One did sell at auction (by one of my favorite sellers) for $6.51, which I believe is a little cheap, but still double the melt value.
