I was researching the other day and a tidbit caught my attention. Below the Rockcastle "narrows" at Bee Rock there used to be a early 1800s era spa owned by Dr. Christopher Columbus Graham called Sublimity Springs resort.
This is all I can find on the place. Anyone know anything more?

Also, there was another health resort built in 1835 six or seven miles down at the mouth of the Rockcastle called Rockcastle Springs resort. Not sure about this place either.

You ever find out any more about this. I am looking for information on the location of these two motels as well as one other motel up river (Warner Motel). Do you have any old books or pictures of these places. Another rumor was there was supposed to be lost civil war payroll somewhere on the river as well. Not sure if this would have been paper currency or gold... but would like to find out and do a little hunting for it.

Think we may have found the location of the old Warner Hotel. Hiking Aug 2715 (16).JPG Here is what is supposed to be the old well where the Hotel stood...
