Go for it. Stopped in the convenience store this am and say the guy who has let me detect on the farm across the road. He told me of a house that is no longer there where I can detect when it's warmer.

How did you approach the subject? Any signed agreement or conditions re sharing finds? Did you just knock onhis door and introduce yourself? I have never tried to get permission to hunt PP, but I can think of a few I would like to.

I was browsing craigslist in housing for sale by owners , the fact that the add said house not worth much basically needs torn down priced to sell . Plus I knew it was in a 1900 era neighborhood. :)

"A dozen other properties" Incredible! I find that most land owners that I seek permission from are very interested in what lies beneath their soil.
