    When I see something I think may be a sign I look for something else to verify it. Are there other signs in the area? Do you have a map "either carved or paper" that puts you in the area? Things like that. I have found many things that look like a sign but only turn out to be natural. You rarely find just a single sign, so keep your eyes out for others.

    While I see the owl you are refering to I would still guess this to be just a rock. I do hope you find other signs though.
