I had posted this in the wrong section (new to this forum). I came across what looks like an interest bond for $16.00 signed by George Bickley and Groner in 1861...has anyone ever heard of these OR anywhere to find more info if could be legit? Whenever I search for that time period mostly I just come up with Lincoln and the bonds he issued to finance the war and in regards to KGC some bonds that were for $1,000 only and only in very minor detail.

George, Rebel is not in the category I described to you as harmless. But I'll bet he will fork over $16
for that note. Only thing is you have to take it to him in Virginia.

The Confederacy issued several bonds to finance the Cause.
Many were printed by RITCHIE & DUNNAVANT of Richmond.
Is it possible to post a photo?
