Thought I'd add this for newbies or Out-Of-State detectorists.

PA*DCNR*-*Metal Detecting

I must also add , Allegheny ( National ) Forest is very IFy as far as Detecting is concerned . I personally would not chance it .

Also , we in Pa. have city , township , county and state parks . It has been my experience that most have different rules .

Thanks xlter, I'm goin' to Pa in a couple weeks, and there is a nice beach at a small state park near where we stay. That link gave me an Email address to ask permission.
