Re: look at this want is it
They're not metal detectors. They're magic wands, with electronic guts that do nothing, but fool the duped buyer into thinking he has some sort of treasure finder/detector. The $$ it "finds" is the money the sellers found in the buyer's pockets. A cheaper option, if you really believe in these, is to get a bent coat hanger.
Metal detecting is my one worldy vice!

So true Tom............If they can't find a coin on the ground at your feet how can it find treasure couple miles away? Some you have to wave a sample of gold at it like a dog to pick up the scent.
If someone really had one of these that worked, do you wonder why they would sell it to you?

glorified dowsing rods. You can get honest rods much cheaper, or make your own cheaper yet. The main thing you'll find with those [the electronic ones] is that your wallet is a lot thinner. just my opinion.

Gosh, RDT, if that's what they really are, then why doesn't the manufacturer call them that?

The trouble with your comparison, is that both of those products actually function.

They are the kind that don't really do anything, but if you add more fake antennas, you can charge more!

The same reason people put signs at open wells, saying "Don't Step Here." (Duh.)

Yes. And they also have a lot of streets named after you.
