Yeah, it's easy to self-hypnotize yourself into believing it doesn't work. That's why I say it's essential to learn some basic form of meditation to reach a Zen-like state. Pick a spot or object out in front of you to look at and don't think about the rods or anything. This way you don't influence the rods--gotta stay out of it and don't be trying to out-think it. Trying to recall the gold frequency 3.025KHz that one works. Remember you have to give it about five minutes for the line to lock on. And if you wait too long, it will have wandered off to a bigger target somewhere nearby neighbors house. And then once you have located the target, shut off the machine for a few minutes before attempting another search.

Is this buzzer capable of recieving a frequency of 1.9340? Or how about .64467? If it is capable, then how would I be able to incorporate my output and ground probes?

You could probably get it to make a click but it says frequency range 100Hz to 6KHz.
