The left side had weathered away. At one time it had quartz around the whole thing. According to Tumlinson's map code for the Tesora map the heart is the end of a trail. Ill send you that code Wayne. You have always shared with me.

Just got home and have it now....mucho gracias.
And I have to agree with Paul. It's the closest thing to a "attention getter" of a heart, that I have ever seen out there.....anywhere.
Doubt anyone will disagree with that.

Wonder if something is under there or nearby? Well I like it just as it is. Might take my 25" coil in there just in case and check things out.

I would - just because the thought will nag at you forever until you at least check it out.

The X at the bottom of the map stone heart is exactly there this heart is and has the arrow pointing to it. According to the Tumlinson code these are trail markers. Found 2 so far. I went specifically to this spot to find the marker and there it was.

Tumlinson's code also indicates a church treasure in this spot. I have a good idea where the general area is.

I'm not sure I understand this "Tumlinson's code" thing. Would you mind explaining what it refers to?

A key to what the symbols represent on both the stone maps and the Garman map. I suspect the Garman map was obtained from R Tumlinson. What came first. The chicken or the egg. The stone or paper map. I will send you something.

Guess I should call it by it's true name. The Peralta Tesoro map. Thank you for your offer but having solved the map riddle and finding several gold deposits using the maps I'm doing Ok. The stones are just maps to mining locations. Perhaps some Spanish loot.

Yes , the stones tablets are maps for mining location . The mines are just to the north of the " RIO ' . To find the mines , you must to find first the " RIO " . But the question is : What and where is the " RIO " ? .

I can show you what is , but where , I leave for you the pleasure of seeking . This is the " RIO " .

You are right . The " RIO " In Spanish means " river " . But you are sure how in the horse stone map this word recognize a river ? How do you know ? You have been there ?

In the Spanish treasure maps , the word " RIO " or the symbol " 3E " , could mean " change direction " or " reverse " . Both these are in the horse stone map .

You have to choose between a river , a meaning and a rock mark . I hope you will do the correct choice .
