John,

Sorry, forgot to mention my Indian praying is not in the Supe's. He still looks really good. The rest of the pictures are all in the Superstitions and on the Stone Map Trail.

Take care,

Joe

If the markers are there, where oh where is the mine? Just saying. Oh. by the way, you know those three canyons (draws) out from Weaver's Needle? Take a look up the left one or was it the middle and notice how about 1/3 down and 2/3 up it looks like a lot of rock got moved sometime in the past. Good hunting boys...

When you say "the markers", just which ones do you feel are the limiting legit set?

Joe,

thinking stash location disguised as a coke oven (since the spanish had a lot of tricks up their sleeves).

The tunnel goes about 15 feet back.

Smells like pigs.

This part of the country is crawling with 2 legged animals.

Just shot a photo and split.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have drones flying around here.

They are giving out tickets for going off trail now.

What do you think, Joe?

John

John,

Could be, but that is a well trod area. It's just a short distance south of the Needle Cutoff Trail, which is a pretty good switchback. We used to go up that trail to my uncle's claim:

Many well known folks searched all around there. Being less than 150' off the trail, it seems like a poor place to hide anything.

Pig/mountain lion caves are associated with a few of the lost treasure stories that have come out of the range. Bushwhacking through rough country is how they are usually said to be found. You are in the middle of some very popular treasure hunting locations.

Here is a picture of a very old roasting, of some kind, oven. It is located over by the Massacre Grounds:

This can be found very close to the picture above, but Greg or Matthew can tell you more about it than I:

Good luck,

Joe

That coke oven looks like the supposed Mexican mine Silent Hunter found a few years back. Old maps show it as a lime kiln. One of two in the area, this one in a wash about a mile north of Blue Point on the Salt River.

By your reasoning, everything man made out there can be disguised treasure? The forestry will need drones and game cameras to keep track of people who think they can do as they please, as they destroy what man made history is left on the ground
in our State! I've been watching our Antiquity disappear as the population increases, these people come hear thinking there special and screw everyone after them, it's become The American Way.
By the way, all of us has seen rattle snakes not rattle! this one is laying on his rattle? Anyone else seen this?

treasure to me is anything man-made that has historical value and doesn't mean it has to be 'gold'

John
I agree that there is much more treasure than gold! It's your statement about the coke ovens, there are fools that read this and run out there and destroy it looking for gold, that never existed. It looks like in your picture that the fools already have been there before, note the bottom.
