nice...eastern gold is a beautiful bright yellow...out here we usually have copper alloyed with the gold that darkens it up

I got the one little nugget a few weeks ago. The rest of it is the junk you find looking for the gold. The brass suspender clasp is dated 1892 on the back side. I used a gold bug2 for those finds.

Nice! Some interesting finds there. Is that a punch or an unfired round center left?

I do some detecting also. Shotgun brass is my bane. Lots of civil war relics in my area.

Found a match box similar in style to the Dutchman ore match box some years back. A plain one, no gold inlay certainly. But a nice find. Mine looks to be an advertising piece or some sort. Still has the wooden matches inside. Good as the day they were made.
