In researching some things about Willie Douthit and his buddy Buster Ward, I found something that struck a note with me. I had never made the connection before (even though there is likely ZERO connection), but we all know about a famous Dutch Hunter named Bob L. Ward.

Willie Douthit's Buddy Buster's real name was Robert Thomas "Buster" Ward Jr. and he died on 04 June 1942 in Phoenix, Az.

Now, we know that he could not have been Dutch Hunter Bob Ward, and Buster did not leave a widow or children. Could Bob Ward be a cousin or nephew? I don't know a lot about Bob Ward. Maybe someone that knew him better might be able to answer.

MEH.....

Like I said. 99.9% coincidence, but he (New Mexico Ward) had declared Arizona his home since 1928 and Phoenix since 1933 (right after he bailed from New Mexico). Neat coincidence nonetheless.

Have no idea who your Robert T Ward is. Robert T Buster Ward JR was born in 1905 in Engle, NM (East side of the Caballos), if I remember correctly.
