See? You DO have your own adventures and experiences that you can share! Still, I recall a post you made not too long ago where you mentioned that you had found a diamond not far from Las Vegas, so are you now sticking to the Reno story? I just need to know exactly where to look! (haha - DON'T tell me exactly where you found it! I would not want to be suspected of claim jumping!)

Please do continue;
:coffee2: :coffee: :coffee2:

I know nothing about Las Vegas diamonds, but can help you with the location for Reno diamonds.

Reno was the divorce capital of the U.S. for many decades. The old legend goes: after divorces were granted, to celebrate, couples threw their rings off the bridge over the Truckee river. I believe in the old days there were only bridges at Virginia and Lake streets. Who knows? Might be some pretty good dredging downstream from those bridges.

If some scuba diving or hookah using detectorist hasn't explored that possible history, there should be a good deal of "treasures" there to dig up!

I never investigated this one because I have a hard time believing in it. Why throw your ring in the river when you can walk a half block to a pawn shop and then blow the money on a night out at the casinos?

I've been thinking about it and you know a detector would be the way to go on this one. Been thinking, what about the rich b*tch that wouldn't be caught dead in a pawn shop? There probably aren't thousands of rings in the river like the legend claims, but there might be a few...

Don't worry about the diving gear. The only time the Truckee's deep enough to need it, the current's so fast common sense would tell you to stay out. Very dangerous. Fall is the time to go. Normally then the river's knee deep or less with a gentle current. End of September is the Italian Food festival and the last downtown street party of the summer. They bring big crowds and lots of cops milling around close to the 'diggins'. Safest time to go would be after that. You might try wearing waders and carrying a fish net on your back for camouflage :)

This here is the entrance to the Heart that I posted earlier, on the back of the stone heart is a depiction of the Passover
the rise of Christ. Look at the holy spirit at the entrance and the stairs at the bottom of photo.
