It's always a shame no matter where a fire out there hits, but I'd hate to see Boyce Arboretum taken out - and it would disastrous for Miami and Superior if it got to the towns too.

Last week a brush fire at Bagdad destroyed about 30 homes and a dozen secondary buildings in the community. Bagdad is a copper mining town near Wickeup. About 500 homes in Bagdad and if not for the wind it was lucky the whole town wasn't taken.

Didn't hear about this. My other spot I go is on the Santa Maria where my red nipple deposit is located. Think I've posted my essays on here from that deposit.
