Hi all!!
I posted this ring in "Todays Finds" back in May of 2008 and still haven't had any luck in finding the owner.
It's a 10 K gold womans ring with the initials JLM and has a big A on it with St. Angela under it. It's made by JOSTEN. I found it at Fort McClellan in Alabama in an area which was used as a training area for soldiers 50 years or so ago but is now it's just a wooded area with nothing around but woods. I have hit a dead end. Any help is most appreciated. Original Post was http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,157091.msg1140036.html#msg1140036
Thanks,
Ed

Ed, I have a 1930 10ct gold HS graduation ring of my Grandfathers. The way the date of 1950 is set up is exactly the same as on my grandfathers. I would see if I could locate Catholic schools in the US called ST Angelica. After that look up the classes of 1950 and find a name that would coorspo. nnd to JLM. Just asking, but how do you know it is a womans ring? My Grandfathes is much smaller and less ornate than a men's HS ring of today. Could it possibly be a man's? Just some suggestions. Good Luck.
It sure feels great inside when you return something, and a ring of that age would be priceless to the owner now.

There is (or was) a St. Angela Academy, an all-girl boarding school in Caroll, Iowa. Scroll down a few pics here:

and more pics of school here:

Also, Classmates.com lists several alums from that shcool who attended in 1950. You may wish to contact them:
