2 finds in the past few months

I haven't posted in a while but I helped find 2 rings this fall. one was a 70 year old ruby engagement ring. It was lost while gardening. Detected for an hour then found it on the patio by the back door.

Then a friend lost his titanium wedding ring in his back yard. That only took a few moment to find.

I received this letter from the owner of the ruby ring.

I can’t begin to tell you how thankful I am to you for finding my ruby ring. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The ring was my (birthstone) engagement ring in 1942. It didn’t cost much - just $60.00, but the sentimental memories are invaluable. I really loved that ring and thought it was lost forever.

It was admired by every friend who saw it, even more so than a beautiful, More expensive, diamond ring bequeathed to me by my maternal aunt.

The enclosed is just a token of my appreciation for your kindness to me – a complete stranger. ($100 bill)
