NC-Class Ring Lost

Its been a few years, but since I'm new here I thought I'd go ahead and put this out there. I lost my grandfathers class ring of 1947 from Stony Point High. The initials inside are WBE, and its a red (possibly ruby or garnet) stone on top with a crest. I can only think of a few places that it could have been lost, either in Gaston county, NC, around Statesville, NC, or at a ski resort in WV. Long shot-I know..but should anybody have any info, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!
