A girl I work with brought in a class ring for me to post. Her grandmother found it in NC back in the 1980's. It is a 1962 woman's 10k gold ring from Stoneville High School.
No initials on it. The company that made it is Balfour.
I guess since there are no initials on it, it will be near impossible to find the owner.
I did post it also on the class ring website.
Any other suggestions on how to track down the owner?
Thanks,
MM

Here's what worked for me several years back.
Contact the High School and ask for someone on the alumni commitee for the class of 1962. A search of the yearbook for that class will have the owner's picture but without initials in your case you could only narrow it down to the girls shown. In a very small school I guess the possibles could be contacted. In my case the ring had the initials R.B. and there were 3 with those initials but we hit the right one first call. Hope you can return it the feeling is great.

Unfortunately, I found out the high school is no longer there. :(
I guess I'll have to rely on the class ring website.
Thanks for the input though.

Hmmm, there must be a great number of people trying to locate/reunite lost class rings. There must also be a great number of people who would like to have a duplicate made of their class ring. Maybe Balfour keeps a record of who bought rings from specific schools? Perhaps they know who bought a girl's ring from that school - sans initials?

Maybe you can start here? www.balfour.com

Great that you are trying to return it. Good luck!

You could also post on the messageboard for that school on classmates.com
