While detecting in a remote area ,amongst trash I inspected, was a small home safe that had be stolen, opened, and discarded.
In the area, I found vinyl bank bags, and they were the homeowners persoanl bank statements,other financial papers and his vehicle titles.
A park ranger happened along and I directed him to the find.
I really does pay to look around.
I didn't look for a reward or anything, but I can imagine he was pleased.
