Here is a picture of a "turtleback rock" found near where a local legend says a mine was found and ore samples from the mine assayed at 70% silver with some nickel. There is another section of the rock about 100ft. downstream standing on it's edge.

Hey Real, that is the best looking turtle back rock I have ever seen! Wow, if the Spanish(who are the ones that generaly used turtles) didn't use that one they missed a good replica..hope it has smething on it or near it that helps you...usually there is something on the bottom and the orentation of the rock is important to the indicator on the bottom. They are often found on "the Kings trail" or way to a significant place of treasure or mine.

There is a piece that it standing on its end about a 100 foot below this. It actually looks like someone has positioned it that way.

Excellent example of a turtle back rock, unfortunately probably not large enough to be a landmark...
