The Balanced Rock , Ridge Top Watering Hole

Very interesting rock. A pic of a watering hole on a ridge. If you look close you can see the blue sky reflecting in it. The elevation at this watering hole is 1100 ft.

Nice petrified mushroom you found there! LOL That is a classic balanced rock formation, water hole could be a minor sink into a cave system, have you checked for openings down the ridge? ...sometimes they collapse at several points and leave sinks.

Post a picture of that mineral sample you have !

Than You Curtis !!! There will be some more interesting pics in a few days I hope. Weather is suppose to cool down to where it might frost by week end then a good shower of rain will get rid of most of the leaves. Then things will be easier to see.
