Re: What's with all the snow?
I live on the northshore. I don't care what the news is saying, but when I took a ruler and measured the snow in my front field I had 6" of the white stuff. We lost power for about seven hours today but I didn't care because we spent most of the day outside! The kids had a wonderful time! Once my wife uploads the pictures I will post some here. Awesome!

Yaw got more than we did up in Vidalia, Louisiana. Also more snow South of Alexandria than in Alex.

Re: What's with all the snow?
It finally all melted away today. It sure was special and fun while it lasted though. This was a much better snow than the 1988 one. I think my neck of the woods was just in the middle of a magic circle. It seems that Baton Rouge to the west had about three inches of snow, while Slidell to the east only had about 1 inch. In my front field I had 5 inches of snow. We were just in the right spot.
I know the Yankees do not find this remarkable, but this was about as much as a shock to us as say, Detroit getting smacked by a catagory five hurricane off of Lake Michigan.

We're not use to this!! It was pretty to see for a little while, but it finally melted away today except around trunks of bigger trees. I'm just looking at all the damage done around here...I'm just happy I got my electricity back tonight. PL, I didn't measure here, but it looked a good 4-6", some areas got 6-8". http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.p...,205302.0.html

Gator, Saints going to Superbowl? Now I have met you and your wife and yaw seem like very stable people. Quite obviously something has happened and you have become somewhat delusional. Tell us what to do old boy and we will try to get you some help.
PS, Tell the wife that Tensas and I truly enjoyed the bisquits and sawmill gravy.

Hopefully we will get a hunt or two in. I am still working, but I may have to quit so we can go detecting. Heck, a fella ought to be able to find a job anytime. You just have to have your priorities in order.

Hey Ace 250, is that your log cabin? Nice looking place. The wife and I are currently looking at log cabin house planes. If you do not mind, who was the manufacturer of the house in the photo? We are considering a Satterwhite Log Cabin. Do you by chance have any experience with them?
