Hi, new guy here! :hello:

Just recently found out about magnet fishing from watching YouTube videos and I'm hooked, so to speak. :)

I haven't even done it once yet, have been waiting for a magnet and now that it's arrived I'm set to start the adventure. Until then, I'd share a tip in case it's helpful to anyone. It's probably already been done, but anyway, here's something I did to keep the line under control. I used to have a sailboat and just hate tangles.

This was an extension cord - removed the cable and outlets, added a big washer on the back which keeps the magnet in place inside. Don't know yet if this is good, will find out soon. :)

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - Great idea (extension cord holder) - never gave that a thought!
