Big river 8 miles north with a big bridge. I know I can't hunt from the bridge. Too much traffic, cars and logging trucks. But I went on google maps and saw a road that looked like it went down to the first pillar. Found the dirt road no problem but I drive down and it has a drive around on that pillar. It is also a homeless village. carpets, graffiti, mattresses and trash everywhere. No one was around so it was either deserted or everyone was hiding. needless to say I kept on driving.
I knew there were more bridges to the east, up in the redwoods. So I started driving. I saw several bridges but didn't stop. I only have 100 feet of rope. I would need at least 300! and no way would I drop a $50 magnet 300 feet into a rock filled river.
