Hey all. Just wanted to say hi. New to the whole magnet fishing scene and good to see a site or two with forums for it. Wanted to share some catches from my first two times out. The highlight for me an an undetonated artillery shell. Scary as heck. 60AFA329-77A9-4B5D-A474-7EF194B3C594.jpeg 73E2C4FD-137F-4C09-92D9-BF47D70EF75C.jpg 17BC44C1-0F22-42A8-A5DC-C801DBFB289B.jpg D31806BC-FF56-40B3-8892-5553AC800A87.jpeg

Welcome to Tnet . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :hello:

I’m using a double-sided Neodymium Magnet (650lb per side) that I got from Amazon. Nothing too special. Comes with a grappling hook but I haven’t used that too muchyet.

I would highly suggest contacting your local police department to have the artillery shell properly disposed of as these can be highly unstable.

Before they started the double magnet thing, I built my own out of single magnets. I could see that many times when retrieving the single magnet it was being dragged on its side and missing many items. The double tool is the way to go. The hook comes in handy when you get something very heavy to the surface and it is not strong enough to lift it out of the water. you can reach down with the hook and get your prize all the way out of the water.
