Best knot? Or other option?

I bought a Brute magnet that has the yellow cone. It didn’t come with a rope so I bought another rope that came with a carabiner attached. If I attach the carabiner end of the rope to the magnet the cone does not fit. Should I leave the cone off or tie the other end of the rope to the magnet? If the other end, what is the best knot to tie? Thanks

I personally have one rope per magnet so I do not use a carabiner. I have found that they are very much in the way. This video will show a knot used by most and use the cone to prevent hangups. Good luck with your new adventure. The rope in the video is exaggerated just use enough rope in the fold over to accomplish tying the knot.
