    Gold Claims maps, other old maps and using the Google Map API

    I've been messing around with the Google Maps API and I think it might
    be useful in researching sites when used with old maps.
    Here's a link to a couple experiments:

    Also, I've posted lots of old maps on my site:

    I've been scanning my collection of Old Maps and posting them on my site.
    The maps show property owner's names, mining claims, parks, schools, etc.
    Use 'em if you can!
