Just discovered this a few days ago. Awesome stuff here. They don't have every state (just a few), but, extremely detailed, beautiful maps dating back to the 1800's.

It gets even better...

You don't even have to order the hard copy maps. After you find the map you're looking for, just click the "Zoom Feature" button. You then pay a whopping $2.00 to view close-up's of the map for 24 full hours

I would bet that all of those maps and more are at davidrumsey.com . You can zoom to your hearts content without charge.
