I have search the internet for hours and can't seem to find any information on Dagger Hollow. I know it is in Texas close to Austin, I was hoping that some one else might have some more information as to its location. I know that when the USGS came in and made their maps, they changed the name to somthing else. Maybe you know what that something else is? Thank you. ;D

The only thing I know of near Austin with Hollow on the end of it is "Hippy Hollow". The exact location I dont know. I would think it is on lake Austin some where. Im sure it is still in use and there should be lots of people that know where it is.

I sent a letter to Austin Historical Society and here is the reply:

We have some USGA maps of Travis County, 1893-1957. I looked on them for Dagger Hollow, and found a lot of Hollows in the Highland Lakes area. I found Devil's Hollow, Long Hollow, Fisher Hollow, among others, but no Dagger Hollow.

After several months of research, and a trip to the area, I'm convinced that I know where Dagger Hollow is. But I'm not telling. I will give a few clues though.
It is still undeveloped, it is privately owned but not for sale, and you would need some leverage with someone with state political power to even possibly go there.

Yeah noticed that too. I wanted get in the middle of something like that anyways. If you have to use political power to get on a site then you’re just asking for trouble. I’ll use my old law enforcement card sometimes, most know me from my heyday of being a deputy, and city patrolman around here so it helps, plus my late father, and my great great uncle who was the city marshal of Alma who got killed by Buck Barrow, and W.D. Jones ends up getting me anywhere I want usually around the county. Since my families name is very well known around here. Dad grew up here, played high school, and college ball. Was one of the very first to graduate out of the school, and move on to a football career, then found my mom, and kicked the football career away, to become a dad, and family man.
