What happened to Brainy Geography?

I've been trying for a couple of days now to get to www.brainygeography.com , one of my favorite online sites for research. It appears to have been pulled down! Does anyone know whats going on with this site?

The website domain registration expired on December 3, 2011. It was last updated on December 27, 2011. And at some point was removed from the server.
So after an 8 year, 7 month run, it looks like the site may have permanently come to an end.
