    handmade marble

    Hello,
    I'm new to marbles.Here's a dump-site find of today.
Is it a 'Banded Swirl' or a 'Joseph's Coat Swirl'??

    17mm in diameter

    Regards, Sven

    Re: handmade marble

i think its a banded swirl....joseph coats are swirls that have a subsurface layer of glass thats made up of different colored strands very close together...generally there is no clear spaces between the strands--theres usually some strands in the inner core that can be seen through the spaces...the colors are dark-earth tones or bright english style colors....per bob blocks id guide...
